Tasting Notes:
Attractive, pale yellow color with steely border. Clean and bright.
Intense with fresh fruit aromas(apple, lychee, pear), subtle citric touch(lemon, lime, bergamot), intense floral notes of orange blossom, white rose petal, freshly cut grass and fresh aromatic herbs. Notable minerality and good complexity.
Intense entry, refreshing and dense. Fresh citric sensations combined nicely with notes of aromatic herbs (lemon, thyme). A subtle, balsamiv touch with refeshing acidity and a hint of salinity.

Production 
Barbuntín comes from 8 hectares of 30-year-old vineyards trained using the arbour system and planted in mostly granitic soil with slate and shale notes. They are surrounded by an Atlantic microclimate with mild temperatures, abundant rainfall and hours of direct sunshine. The grapes are picked by hand and transported straight away in 15 kg boxes. 

The grapes are put in a cold room at 5ºC and then passed over the selection table. The whole grape is destemmed and macerated, then pressed for 2 hours in a pneumatic press with the musts separated. Barbuntín ferments at a controlled temperature and is aged on its fine lees for 3 months in stainless steel tanks. 

Barbuntín was awarded the “Best Albariño in the World” at the International Wine Challenge 2018 and has won the Platinum Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards (97 points).
